OM Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & Judo

OM Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu was established in 2017 with a simple purpose: to provide a safe, friendly, and welcoming place where people can learn authentic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo while becoming part of a strong martial arts community.

BJJ and Judo are two arts that can deeply impact a person's martial arts experience—and their life beyond the academy. Martial arts develop discipline, hard work, focus, confidence, and perseverance. They teach us how to set goals, work toward them, overcome challenges, and experience the satisfaction that comes from genuine accomplishment.

These benefits aren't just for kids. Children, teens, men, and women of all ages can benefit tremendously from having martial arts in their lives. Whether your goal is to learn practical self-defense, get into better shape, challenge yourself, compete, or simply become part of a positive community, there is a place for you at OM BJJ.

We believe martial arts should ultimately give you greater confidence in your ability to protect yourself and the people you care about, while providing an environment where students can train hard, learn from one another, and enjoy the process.

Our Lineage

Our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu lineage traces back to the great Renzo Gracie through Professor Rich Korfhage.

Our Judo lineage comes through Sensei Joe Turchiano and ultimately to the Kodokan, the birthplace of Judo.

The Striking program has deep connections through the Chinese art of Kung Fu (Southern Praying Mantis), & Filipino Martial Arts (Doce Pares). All of the arts are then Filtered through the lens my time studying with Master Instructor Sifu Ralph Mitchell. (Universal Defense System ).

We are proud of the traditions and teachers behind the arts we practice and strive to pass those traditions on to the next generation of students.

If you're interested in training or simply have questions, don't hesitate to reach out. Beginners are always welcome.
